Asia Song Society
August 2008
Conceptual Models, Full Scale Mock Ups, Construction Details, Final Installations
This 46"x46"x46" DJ booth was designed by Christian Wassmann for the Asia Song Society's exhibition I Want a Little Sugar In My Bowl. The piece consists of 2 parallel mirrored planes, connected by a series of steel cables. The mirrored planes create an infinity effect when looking into them, displaying a seemingly never ending space.
Over the 2 weeks preceeding the installation we experimented with 2 different full scale mockups in studio. The final work was installed over 2 days by Johanna Karlsson and myself.
Materials: Mirrored stainless steel, stainless steel cable, plywood, halogen light
